Excerpt #12: A Sick Obsession With Food

    The whole thing was a ploy with a two fold purpose: to get Jake fat (my sister's fiancee) so he'd be rupulsive to Annie, and to feed her hatred for people...particularly fat people. I would always watch in amazment as she'd (my mother) stand back and marvel at one of her newly completed projects, a newly made tub. It all seemed so silly to her as she stared at the overstuffed jerk, with her hand held over her mouth, making comments like "You should be ashamed of yourself and go on a diet!" Sometimes, still giggling, she would grope at these people, pulling, stretching and yanking at their fat. She pulled on mine when I was a little tub in grade school. It was grotesque.
